See you XFL IN 2021!!

Hawk Eyed

By making a first-quarter quarterback change, winning the defensive battle in the XFL’s most ground-focused game of the year, and excelling on defense, the DC Defenders (3-2) plowed to a 15-6 victory over the St. Louis BattleHawks (3-2).

The XFL’s East division has a three-way at the top. DC’s in the lead, having defeated St. Louis and the New York Guardians.

The Defenders and Battle Hawks combined for the most rushing yards (402) of any XFL game. Defender fans were not only only loud, the built a massive beer snake in the end zone seating.

After Cardale Jones‘ first drive ended with an interception, Tyree Jackson got the call under center. Jackson would lead the Defenders with the only touchdown in the game. When will Cardale Jones return is a mystery?

The Defnders will host the Dallas Renegades next week on Sunday. The Defenders have not lost at home.

Snake Bite

For the second straight week, the DC Defenders were dominated from start to finish by a previously winless opponent. They showed few signs of life offensively and lost, 25-0, to the Tampa Bay Vipers on Sunday in Tampa. The Defenders remain win less on the road and drop in the standings. The Defenders come home Sunday to Audi Field to play the St. Louis Battlehawks. The Defenders are undefeated at home.

La La Bland

The Defenders were mopped up by the Los Angeles Wildcats 39-9. Making this the Defenders worst loss in their history. Quarterback Cardale Jones had his worst performance so far for the Defenders (2-1), completing 13 of 26 passes for 103 yards, no touchdowns and four interceptions. Jones also took three sacks. Things got so bad the Defenders brought in back up Tyree Jackson in the fourth quarter. Any chance of a undefeated season is over for the Defenders. Los Angeles gets it’s first win of the season.

Next week: Defenders vs Vipers on 1.1.2020

New York Minute

The Defenders defeat the Guardians 27-0 and remain undefeated. Behind three sacks and two interceptions, including their second pick-six in two weeks, the Defenders (2-0) dominated the Guardians (1-1) and turned in the XFL’s first shutout. The Guardians Matt McGloin would be benched after a poor performance and complaining. In two games, DC’s defense has forced six turnovers. The Defenders will play Los Angeles on the road this Sunday.

Red Alert

Dragon Breath

The Defenders defeat the Seattle Dragons 31-19 to cap off the start of the XFL season. So far, the XFL was highly watched and enjoyed. The majority of the venues were full and the crowds were energetic. You could say the XFL games had a feel of a soccer and football crowd mixed. Hey, this league is up right!! Fans of the XFL loved the 3 point conversion from the 10 yard line. Not only did the XFL have different rules than the NFL but they were better. This league is doing every thing right.
